"Mantra" adalah sebuah film layar lebar yang diproduksi oleh Renee Pictures, yang sebelum sudah membat film Indonesia berjudul "The Right One" yang dirilis 27 Februari yang lalu, tidak lama setelah film saya yang berjudul "7 Misi Rahasia Sophie" rilis. Selain "The Right One" Renee Pictures juga baru saja menyelesaikan film komedinya yang berjudul "Pizzaman". Keterlibatan saya di project "Mantra" adalah sebagai sutradara dan juga membantu proses penulisan skenarionya.  "Mantra" memiliki dua tokoh utama yang diperankan oleh Dinda Kanya Dewi dan Gandhi Fernando. Dengan set up cerita yang simple namun membutuhkan ketelitian dalam pengerjaannya. Film ini adalah sebuah film yang cukup kompleks dari segi akting. kali ini saya kembali tertantang untuk mendirect dua orang aktor dengan pendekatan yang hampir sama dengan yang saya lakukan di film "Pembalut" yang merupakan salah satu film pendek di sebuah film omibu

I asked my bestfriend Penny to go to spent the weekend at Museum Fatahilah. So, we go there using public transport, the train. its really fun.  Why museum Fatahilah area? because I love this area, vintage and has historical background of Jakarta. I mean, we can go to the malls or cafe, but this time is different. I'm very excited.  I once shooting in this area also and so damn expensive for shooting here.  We also invite one of my other classmate in filmschool Iin and her son. We take photos and having our dinner in the Batavia Cafe. At the end if the day another schoolmate joined us, Danial. We were very excited as he is about to get married. :) Recently, I often hanging out with my close friends around Jakarta. Friendship is always beautiful.     

Why did I choose this location? There are certain layers reason for me to decided a specific location for my movie. First, THE SET. we use the real set or we made it like one. If we need a hospital hallway, we could use real hospital or, we could use "fake" one, like any building that has corridors then we will add some extras with nurse outfit, or dressing up with some additional props. Shooting at public spaces like malls, very tight schedule at day and they also sometimes not permit for filming at night.  Here are me and my cats Jeslyn Wang, Pinky Ovien and Kevin Andrean.  "I never thought that I would have this location on the script, but then on the location scouting, I just went to the roof and surprised that found this location.
