I did a comedy film: THE LEGEND OF TRIO MACAN

after a while, now i'm back with my update. i'm sorry guys so many to be updated. i will try my best try my best to share it one by one.

I did a comedy genre movie.. the title is THE LEGEND OF TRIO MACAN. the producer ring me the asked me if i want to direct the project. Adriansyah Solaiman is the producer, he's my friend, we were at the same production  some years ago, back when I was assistant director for Brian Yuzna, we did 'AMPHIBIOUS' 3D. The production house is Radikal films, the one who did 'LOVE IS YOU' Cherrybelle group movie. Then i think the project has the potential to has production value. I love comedy, i love reading comic, especially manga. so, it's not hard for me to make this happened.

The producer sent me the synopsis and I saw weaknesses, I discussed with the writer and my producer. which part that fits me, which part dont's. Then i started to do rewrites, because we had limited time to develop the script.

While we did the scriptwriting, we did the location scouting. We went to Rembang, on Central Java. There so many great location there, exactly what I need. We choose there because the sense of chinese so strong.

At first what i'm worrying about is the main actor, THE TRIO MACAN, they're singer, not an actor. we did reading session and fighting workshop at our office for a week. they come pretty good, but we have no time to polished their acting. other good thing is i have great supporting actors that can balance the main character. some comedians and real actor i can say. Rully Fiss and Neni Anggraini are enough for me, they did their job very nice.

This is Sam Brodie and Udin Penyok, this guys so funny. 

I love making funny scenes. very comic. 

there's this big tree and i'm so fascinating, this is so cool, then i ask my location manager that I want this to be our set.

This Lady is Madame Nyong, played well by actress Neni Anggrani.

The traditional market. I love this.

we did built the traditional market, i really love this set. so beautifully made, very natural looking. I love it so much. i'm very lucky to have such talented art director. he was willing to make this movie with all his heart.

I listened to their song "Cicilalang'" like hundreds time when i filming this, and it stucks in my heads. hahaha.. it's a very catchy song. interesting. and they also have this movement that they created while singing the song.

The girls are dangdut singer, they have this look and appeal and i try to keep it that way, I dont want to change them. even though so many pro's and con's they had, i know they working so hard to achive their popularity. everybody deserve for their victory.

The DOP is Hani Pradigya, we did some project before.

I learn more, and more, about filmmaking. i'm so lucky to have every opportunity to make more films. and i'm very happy that we finished the shooting. we did 14 shooting days. all with the action sequences.

I really hope that people will accept this movie as i have worked so hard to make this to have the production value. I love making this movie,  i treated this as my child. :) enjoy the movie.
